Why Muslims Are Very Conscious Of What We Eat

Extracted from http://alwancomics.com/forum

Hi to all my Non-Muslim friends...

At often times, we are questioned of why we cannot eat at particular
eateries. Below is a part of scientific explaination to of why
our Muslim friends are very concious of what or at where they eat. This
explaination is not to jeopardise our non-Muslim believers, but is just an
enlightenment to our believes.

Peace.

Patrick: “Yunus, tell me why is it that a Muslim is very particular about the Halal & Haram..what do they mean?

Yunus: “Sure Patrick…That is which is permissible is termed Halal and that which is not permissible is termed Haram. And the holy Quran which draws the distinction between the two.

Islam has prohibited blood of any type. You will agree that a chemical analysis of blood shows that it contains and abundance of uric acid, a chemical substance which can be injurious to human health.

About the toxic nature of uric acid, in the human being it is excreted as a waste product and in fact we are told that 98% of the body’s uric acid is extracted from the blood by the kidneys and removed through urination.

We should appreciate the special prescribed method of animal slaughter in Islam. The wielder of the knife, whilst taking the name of the “Almighty”, makes an incision through the jugular veins, leaving all other veins and organs intact.”

Patrick: “I see. This causes the death of the animal by total loss of blood from the body, rather than an injury to any vital organs.”

Yunus: “Yes, were the organs, example the heart, the liver or the brain crippled or damaged, the animal could die immediately and its blood would congeal in its veins and would eventually permeate the flesh.

This implies that the animal flesh would be permeated and contaminated with uric acid and therefore very poisonous; only today did our dieticians realize such a thing.”

Patrick: “Again while on the topic of food; Why do Muslims condemn the eating of Pork or Ham or any foods related to pigs or swine?”

Yunus: “Actually, apart from the Qur’an prohibiting the consumption of pork, bacon (pig flesh); in fact the Bible too in Leviticus chapter 11 verse 8, regarding swine it says, “ of their flesh (of the swine, another name for pig) shall you not eat, and of their carcass you shall not touch; they are unclean to you.

Further, did you know that a pig cannot be slaughtered at the neck for it does not have a neck; that is according to its natural anatomy. A Muslim reasons that if the pig was to be slaughtered and fit for human consumption the Creator would have provided it with a neck. Nonetheless, all that aside, I am sure you are well-informed about the harmful effects of the consumption of pork, in any form, be it pork chops, ham, bacon..etc..”

Patrick: “Yes..the medical science finds that there is a risk for various diseases the pig is found to be a host for many parasites and potential diseases.”

Yunus: “Yes, even apart from that, as we talked about uric acid content in the blood, it is important to note that the pig’s biochemistry excretes only 2% of its total uric acid content, the remaining 98% remains as an integral part of the body.”

Patrick: “Thanks for your explanation, Yunus.”

Yunus: “No problem. This is my responsibility.”

Please forward to others. It may answer some of their questions especially when the non-Muslims ask. To waken the interest and kindle enthusiasm is the sure way to teach easily and successfully.

Why women get married...at least from my point of view

Why women get married?

Because we want someone to depend on
If we are required to always be independent,
We DO NOT need to get married

Yes, women nowadays are independent
We can do what men can do
We can be as strong as men
As a matter of fact,
We are stronger than them
We don't quiver at the sight of blood
We are not scared of needles
We are not scared of pain
Remember,
we are the one who sacrifice our lives to give birth to beautiful ones
We can handle many things at one time
Working
Housemaking
Taking care of children
Taking care of husbands
We do it and we seldom complain
Even though all of these is sucking out our energy
We do it wholeheartedly
Willingly
Lovingly
Dedicatedly

However,
How strong we are
We want to feel helpless once in a while
We want to be dependent once in a while

We get married coz we want someone to share our
Joy, sorrow and pain
We want someone to share our load
So that some load will be taken off our shoulder
We get married coz we want to feel satisfied
That we did someone something fulfilling
And we feel joy
When there's gratitude
We want emotional support
As when the going gets tough,
Husbands will be there so that we get going

There are many more reasons as to why women get married
For me, it's all these
I can be independent
I can survive on my own
I can take care of myself
BUT
I get married
So that I do not have to be
Independent
Survivor
Caretaker
all my life...
