Hello Princess!!

Last Friday I went for detailed scanning. Was super excited about it the whole day! My mum, Eeqa, Anieq, Bibik and Aiz tagged along...waiting for my name to be called was really torturing. When I was called...hubby went in together with me..Eeqa of coz followed. She also wanted to see her baby cuzzin. Doc scanned and scanned....very very long. I was hoping that all is ok and fine. She didnt say anything...I think hubby kept waiting for the doc to say if baby is a boy or girl. Finally..the awaited question that hubby was waiting for..."You want to know the gender?"...His reply..."Yes lar..of course..u mean not everyone wants to know issit?" Hubby is so funny.

Then doc said, "OK....your baby is a GERL!" We were like...oh okkkk. Hehe. So my makcik urut is wrong at her second guess. Baby managed to trick her...hahaha.

When I informed mum and Aiz...they were like...WE KNEW IT!! So me and hubby gonna be having a PRINCESS!!! Yay! For me....it's time to SHOP!!! So overly excited!

I pray to Allah that my baby will be fine and that me and her will be safe. Can't wait for baby to arrive. 4 more months to go!! Oh ya..doc said I need to gain more weight..coz I only gained like 2kg now. Alright hubby..u better stuff me. Hehehehehe

Your pregnancy: 18 weeks

How your baby's growing:

Head to bottom, your baby is approximately 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and she weighs almost 7 ounces. She's busy flexing her arms and legs — movements that you'll likely start noticing more and more. Her blood vessels are visible through her thin skin and her ears are now in position and stand out from her head. Myelin (a protective covering) is beginning to form around her nerves, a process that will continue for a year after she's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and Fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If your baby is a boy, his genitals are noticeable, though he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.

A new beginning...2008

Happy New Year! Ok it's kinda belated but since I had started work...I just got no time to visit this site...what else update. Sorry.

This year...I am in my 2nd trimester already. Baby is about 17 weeks...naughtier each day, kicking mummy many many times throughout the day. My mum and sis guessed that its gonna be a girl coz my darling newphew is starting to get very cheeky with me. Hehehehe...very the cute! Whateva it is...as long as my baby's healthy..I am super happy. With different things that I went thru every stage..I am wondering what will happen next. 1st the morning sickness, then the rashes...now...constipation has kicked in baaaad. Nevertheless, coping well...except for the sleeping problem. Now its super difficult to wake up early in the morning for work. My eyes are like panda's. And yah....I remember most of my dreams. Read from babycenter that it is normal since my sleep is now disturbed by tossing n turning etc. Some dreams I remembered....

Dreaming of a small kid...1st...the kid pulled my blanket...and I could literally feel it. Woke up feeling so scared and woke up hubby to ask him to hug me. 2nd...dreamt of 2 small girls. Very scary...like those in Japanese horror movies. But the dream that puzzled me the most was...dreaming of my JI frens who passed away...Ibrahim...who passed away due to cancer and Rohaizam who passed away in Mt Ophir. I was not close to them and yet I dreamt of them....very puzzling.

So now...I put 'the pouch' that my mum gave me (handed down from generation to generation..containing basic stuff like nail, surah yasin etc) under my pillow before I sleep every night just for extra precaution besides reciting some surahs. Usually it helps. My fren said its because my 'darah manis'. I just hope that dreams will be dreams that's all.

So maybe...any mothers wanna share similar experiences...? I would love to hear them.
